The Hatchery Kitchens is a handcrafted kitchen manufacturer based in Devon, England. Blending traditional British craftsmanship and innovative design to create architecturally stunning and functional kitchens, The Hatchery works with customers to create their dream kitchen, where no detail is missed and no opportunity for excellence overlooked.
After acquiring the original company ‘Devon County Kitchens’ in June 2015, our client approached us to redevelop the well-established business with a fresh name, brand and digital presence. Our overall approach was to emphasise the uplifting effect a kitchen has on the home and to incorporate the central relationship with food, as we wanted to cement this as a more personal approach to the process of buying a kitchen. By taking the traditional process and making the following adjustments, we developed a fresh new theme around a dining/restaurant experience: the Introduction became the Starter, the Details became the Main, the Extra became the Dessert and Invoicing was replaced with the Bill.
Through extensive brand development, we forged a new identity for The Hatchery and ensured that its essence was conveyed within the full suite of creative collateral, livery and signage through consistently coherent design.
Recognising the scope for reaching potential customers online through superior design, functionality and expert integration, we developed a fully responsive Wordpress site to promote the brand’s online presence and invite audience interaction.

Extensive online assessments of current brand positions with our specialist measured software enables us to keep track of where the brand is at, meaning we can implement any necessary changes to the outlined SEO strategy and maximise results.
Trends & Forecasts
Following the design and development stages, we schedule weekly consultations with the business to review and assess new areas of development, from both branding and digital perspectives.
We met with the team to reinforce the importance of converting new site visitors into new clients and since reviewing the initial brand and digital presence, there has been a 50% increase in the conversion rate of new clients coming on board.
